Aadhaar Card for Non-Resident Indian
According to the Aadhaar Act, 2016, resident means an individual who has resided in India for a period of 182 days or more, in the 12 months immediately before the date of application for the Aadhaar number. Consequently, if a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) has stayed in India for 182 days or more, at the 12 months before the date of the program, then NRI is qualified to make an application for an Aadhaar card.

Step-1: Document Submission at Aadhar Center
The very first step to availing an Aadhaar card would be to submit all of the applicable documents that define the identity of the non-resident Indian. The submitted documents will then be verified by the officers to determine whether the person is qualified for an Aadhaar card or not.
Step 2: Finger-Print Scanning
Now it’s time to provide Biometric information to UIDAI officials which will be stored in their database. The biometric scan is essential to make sure that the identification of the person is distinctive and accurate, so the individual is going to have to see the Aadhaar card enrolment center to complete the biometrics scan procedure.
Step 3: Iris Scanning
After the Finger-print scanning process, UIDAI will take your iris scanning as well. All the proceeds will be done at the aadhar card center.
Step 4: Photograph for Aadhar Copy
Once the scanning process has been completed, the Aadhaar applicants will have to get their picture taken by the web-camera in the enrolment center. The picture is then going to be added into the Aadhaar documents and they will receive the physical replica of Aadhaar Card from the UIDAI.
It requires around 60-90 days for the authorities to dispatch the Aadhaar card, but one can monitor the status of their Aadhaar card on the internet by seeing the UIDAI site with the enrolment number (EID) mentioned in the acknowledgment slide.
Aadhar Card for Child
To get aadhar for kids parents need to visit the closest enrolment center and fill up the enrolment form.
There’ll be no biometric information recorded in the Event of children below 5-Year-old. A kid’s Unique Identification (UID) will be issued by considering the demographic information and photographs which are Related to the UID of their parents.
Biometrics will be done after attaining 5 years of age, the Aadhar Card number shall remain the same throughout a lifetime.
For children above the age of 5, biometric data, i.e., a scan of the applicant’s fingerprint and retina will be recorded which will then be linked to his/her Aadhar card in future.
After attaining 15 years, biometrics data will be taken once again for the last time and will then be linked to the Aadhar Card.
The child’s photograph is taken when he/she attain 15 Year age.
